Well guys after the current theme of the week, I think you can all guess what I did today at work. That's right, something new and interesting that wasn't learning Japanese. And actually quite a fun job as well. It was just copying layout designs from a book, but it was fun because I a) got to be very creative and b) could add in whatever contents I felt like coming up with. Although I could only be bothered to do that with one of them and the rest I just copied poems from the Japanese Hyakkunin Isshu (I'll explain in a bit) and pasted them in, but it still counts.
Also today I met a new person - a very chatty and friendly woman. She and a man I had previously met went to the fancy restaurant downstairs (where the food is still amazing) and had a good time talking. Well them talking me trying to talk and fumbling the words over. And the final cherry for the day was getting to show off the film I had made from the company sports trip to the office. Granted I couldn't stay to get everyones reaction, but I got a good feeling all the same.
And for supper tonight, I finally figured out how to use the oven setting on my microwave. Granted all I did was make a pizza, but it was a different kind of pizza. That counts.
The bit above about the Hyakku-nin Isshu - This is a selection of 100 poems from around 1300(ish) a.d. that was collected to be used as decoration for a nobleman's manion (I think, I'm a little fuzzy on the details.) Each has an interesting back story and its quite a fun story to read about, or watch in anime. Now why am I talking about this? = because I don't want you guys to get bored of me constantly going on about work so I thought I;d add some spice.
