November 10th 2012 - Day 65

Well, it has been a while since I've done something really new, so today I thought I'd do something semi new at any rate - I went to the gym. I mentioned last week that Dad and I had found a sports centre with a gym, and I was eager to give it a look. Not that things ever go that smoothly. Upon arriving, I had to sign into the gym, rent some indoor shoes (there is a difference) and go through an orientation before I was allowed to start. And since I haven't been to the gym in a while, I had to take things easier today than I normally would have. That and I couldn't understand most of the instructions on the machines.
After that, I came back, had a shower and began working on the usual weekend job list. So first was doing a food shop, which wasn't much this time as I still had a lot left over from last week (thank you meals out with Dad). After that I headed out into Akihabara to get some shopping done. And walked into another market (I should really find a calendar for those). After scouting through the stalls, I headed to some of my favourite haunts whilst working my way back towards Yodobashi - I wasn't just on the hunt for new anime merchandise, I had to get some necessary bits as well. Namely a 'business bag'. This is just a briefcase or smarter carrying bag that Japanese business use when they have to visit other companies and look presentable. It was recommended that I get one as well as everyone else in the office has them. And I also took the opportunity to visit the arcade again.
Then it was back to the apartment and time for some proper cleaning - this involved a lot of stacking chairs, folding away tables and re-arranging the mounds of extra crap on top, but I think it was worth it. It also helped me make room for the new display case I bought for my anime character figures......that's pretty self explanatory.
Then winding away the rest of the time with Ironing and supper in front of some crazy Japanese tv show where the national volley ball team played against a bunch of tv stars. Well why not.
