Starting off the day with a real highlight - rolled out of bed, got dressed and headed straight for the train to get to Dad's hotel in time for breakfast together. Apart from the added bonus of getting my first cooked breakfast for a while, the best bit was that I got to see Dad off as he left to head back home. I may have only seen him briefly in the last few days, but It was really great getting hugs and catching up with him in purpose (as opposed to over skype). Now if I could just convince the other members of my family to come visit.
Sadly this was probably the only highlight of my day as well. Another (yes Another) day of learning Japanese, and spending some time this morning trying to do a job whilst the two sempai talked about what I had to do in Japanese as though I wasn't meant to understand it (there's not noticing and then there's just borderline rudeness). And in the afternoon I had to more Japanese stuff, and then put up with the sempai's over complicated explanations and constantly saying wrong. I came very close to experiencing a computer moment - I find on occasion that if I am told too much new and complicated information in a short space of time, I mirror the actions of a computer in the same situation i.e. crash and/or explode. Luckily I did keep my cool but my head is still feeling frazzled as a result. Good lunch though, no one new, but good lunch all the same.
