October 26th 2012 - Day 50

Wow, 50 days. Just reading that makes me feel cool about myself.
And if I needed more reason It would be because of todays work. This morning was carrying on that cruel assignment from yesterday. Which turned out not to be all that complicated, at least not on a design level. The real trouble came from trying to type in an A3 piece of paper's worth of Japanese - thats a LOT of Kanji that I couldn't copy and paste but had to look up how to read each one. Seriously, Japan already has 2 alphabets, why in gods name did they feel the need to copy a third?
Lunch was about average, with a girl this time though, and randomly bumping into a couple of others from the office (genuinely a first).
In the afternoon I was given a new assignment - read through 10 excel pages worth of English and check the translations are good enough. When this was given to me, the guy said he hoped I'd have it done by next wednesday. Not counting weekend that 3 and a half days. I finished it all in under 4 hours, without help, because I'm awesome, and thats how I roll.
One other interesting note of the day, that really says something about Japan - on my way home, I saw two people using the laptops openly for work on the underground. No where on the face of the planet have I ever seen that happen before, because no where else is safe enough to do that. Just goes to show you how safe Japan is.
