How quickly my fortunates turn. After several days of good times at work, today was....well I'd say words like 'utterly pointless' and 'waste of life' but I wouldn't want to give you false hope. It wasn't that what I had to do was bad, in fact just the opposite, it was super easy. First part of the day was explaining to the sempai about the difference between 'examination' and 'examinee', which took an hour because he kept trying to do something on the computer, which I think he thought was going to help him, and yet it was utterly pointless. Then he gave me a single job to do that was so easy I could've done it blindfolded. Then in the afternoon, he tried to get me to make more buttons using a method that even he didn't know about. After an hour of him trying to figure it out on my computer, (whilst giving me another option that couldn't be used), he'd half thought of one idea, which I then managed to turn into a simple shortcut and polish that of in no time. Rest of the day was just doing english spell checking.
Now I'm trying not to have a go at this guy on here - He's been very kind to me and helped me get really settled in at the office and with everyone around me. He is a really great guy, a good boss and I'm always indebted to him taking the time to explain everything to me. I just wish he didn't take quite so much time to do the explanation.
Now lets look at the positives of the day.......It was colder. It seems the weather has finally turned from summer fry up, to autumn chill, which after the heat I've lived through is a really good turn over. And lunch with the new guy to day was enjoyable. It wasn't anything out of the ordinary, but I guess it was because of that reason that I was able to relax and I think I'm finally getting used to talking to people (mostly because they keep asking the same questions, but still counts).
