So for the most part today was a good day, and do you know why? Because my job this morning was to research film making techniques that I could then explain to the other sempai. Its all for some soon to be made promotional video but hey, I finally got to put my noggin crammed full of film-know-how to good use. Especially since in order to explain most of these techniques, I had to "research" various "examples" on youtube. And when ideas like "the pleasantville effect" come to mind, you know you're doing something right. But I even managed to duff this job up a bit by getting too excited and going way of course - I think it was somewhere between the "clone effect" and the 300 speed control trick that I realised "oops, thats too exciting for a company video. Still the other sempai said it was ok because he wanted something a bit more interesting, so I guess alls well that ends well.
Or rather didn't since I then had to do anther capture job for the main sempai. And like always his confusingly over complicated explanations tok their toll, and I was left baffled and annoyed afterwards. It didn't help that I then had to do the work diary and this time he roped in one of the other office members to do his chair of the reading for him and still found a way to make it all painfully difficult (at one point he even called me an idiot, which I was Not happy about).
But a small note of change from the routine was upon arriving back home I finally met my neighbour (yes it took me this long, I'm not very sociable). We only said hi the elevator and introduced ourselves, but he seemed friendly enough.
