October 9th 2012 - Day 33

Well the long weekend's over and now its back to the grind stone...sort of. Actually I wish they had given me the grind stone, It would've been more fun that what I had to deal with today.
Morning at the office wasn't so bad. I basically had to try and understand the Japanese Job hunting system for university students. The complicated bit wasn't that it starts in April and ends in March. There was just some tricky maths work involved that did my head in a bit. And surprise I got that wrong, had to get the sempai to correct it for me, not my proudest moment at the office. But translating the definitions of everything into Japanese wasn't so bad.
And for lunch a new person from the office took me to this really cool, proper Japanese styled restaurant - by which I mean you had to loose the shoes and sit on tatami mat floors. How cool is that? Once again can't mention names but he was a really cool guy (he shook Tim Burton's hand, so jealous).
But the afternoon was...well I'd use words like 'pointless' and 'waste of time' but I wouldn't want to put a good spin on it. The sempai had to leave for a meeting all afternoon, leaving me with a 'read all this guff online and think about certain peoples points of view' work. Talk about a waste of time, I got through it within an hour and had to spend the rest of time reading through the rest of the info or practicing my Kanji. I couldn't even read the info in Japanese because it was too complicated, and had to make do with a crappy english translation (and I'm talking google translate standards). And apparently there is some sort of meet and greet for future workers on Friday which the sempai were very vague on details about, but said I have to attend. I'm not complaining because its work, I just hate it when people aren't clear about details, especially when it involves an appointment of some kind. All in all I shan't be looking back on this day with much fondness.
