October 17th 2012 - Day 41

Well I can't say today was great unfortunately. Not that it was terrible, just not much fun. Fortunately the previous job I was given has been put on hold, so dodges a cannonball there, but the rest of my day was spent doing small jobs of a similar nature, that I knocked out of the park faster than you can say 'oops maybe we should've made that harder for him'. I'm getting quite a lot of practice at photoshopping though, so I suppose that counts. I did meet some nice people for lunch who, after getting lost and finding a very famous restaurant, took me to a different place because the line was outrageous. One of them was supposed to be the funniest guy in the office, but something tells me I'll be missing out on the humour for a while.
There was one redeeming quality about work today though: yesterday I found out that the automatic rent payment I set up doesn't start until the end of next month, so I had a bit of panic trying to figure out how to pay the rent when my bank is closed by the time I get back from work. When I asked for help from my estate agent, he said it was possible to pay it through the ATMs (how cool is that) but I had no idea how to do that. But someone from the office agreed to come with me to the nearby bank after work and show me how. Saved my neck and came all the way out with me in the pouring rain. Really goes to show how nice Japanese people can be.
