Remember that part where I said that because I have photoshop at work now things would be more fun....that was known as 'jinxing it'. 'Jinxing it - verb, to be jinxed, a condition where someone expects something and is in turn burned by the universe'.
The morning wasn't too bad, depending on how you view watching a ton of photoshop for beginners on youtube. And the sad thing is that there was still some things I was able to learn from those. The harsh part came when I was told to make duplicate notes of what I learned in Japanese. Confidence taking a nose dive there.
Once again lunch with some new people today, who took me to a full blooded, genuine Japanese fish restaurant. This is a much smaller breed of restaurant where you can order....something that I'm certain was fish, just never ask me which bit because all I can say was that I spent half the time picking bones from my teeth and thanking god there weren't any women around to see that. Although I did have an interesting chat with the two guys and found out that the company holds multiple trips during the year, including a ski trip I think in January. Now thats a win.
But then it was back to the office where I had to learn how to make buttons for a website - thats right, the buttons like above where when you hover over them with your mouse they change colour, I know (sort of) how to make those now. But then the fun came when I was given a huge list of buttons I had to a) translate into english and b) make into buttons in the first place. Remember when I said confidence took a dive bomb, well this was the bottom of the empty pool. I kept having to go back over everything and do it all again to make sure it was good enough, never mind that fact that I can't read any of the bleeding Kanji in the first place. Despite having had a more eventful day, it can hardly be called inspiring.
