June 10th 2013 - Day 273

So you remember a couple of weeks ago when I had that stressy job that involved talking to the new people and putting a lot more work in than I would in a month of normal jobs? Well today was judgement day - when I had to give the presentation of my findings to the boss and the rest of the team. Got to be honest, it could have gone better. Never mind the usual fumblings over the words I'd been practicing all morning to get right, I also had to do a whole load of explaining which I had prepared for, and that was like watching a monkey ride a unicycle - he'll get from a to b but he's going to fall off a LOT. Which is exactly what happened to me. But apart from that the whole thing seemed to go over rather well.
The one thing I was not expecting to happen after the meeting over was to be shown to the office's new 'massage room' - basically one of the meetings rooms has been stuffed with a couple of massage chairs and I was shepherded by the boss into using one. First time ever using one and got to be honest, it was pretty weird yet surprisingly comfortable.
The rest of the day was much like normal - odd jobs here and there, some small amounts of trying to do japanese/work in japanese and failing, and the sempai being an arse. Not in the usual trying to help but not really helping way, this time he was just being an arse.
