November 29th 2012 - Day 84

Well most of the day wasn't too great. This morning I was told to find out how to remove background noise in film (which is one of the easiest editing tricks in the book) and then found out I didn't even need to know the information. The rest of the morning was revising final cut pro X, in the hopes of eventually using it.
Which I did in the afternoon, eventually. After waiting a couple more hours for the others on the design team to sort out which bits I had to use, I was able to finish all the editing in the space of an hour and a half. Sounds like a good balance of time to me.
But the day was saved by my going over to the guy-who-looks-after-me-here's office (thats a mouth full. But I'm not breaking my privacy rules). After letting me use some of his staff to help sort out some important looking post I had to deal with, he took me out to a really nice supper in a soba restaurant  downstairs. And when I say interesting, I mean it included mini squid and horse meat. Both were actually really delicious, so glad I gave that a go. And it was really nice to catch up with him about what's been going on. He was really good helping me with ideas for Japanese lessons, chatting in general about Japan, and plans for christmas. All in all a good end to the day.
