I don't know how, but I somehow managed to make it through the whole day without anyone noticing (or at least commenting) on the enormous cow lick on the back of my head. Its one of those big cow licks that no matter how much you pat it down, the hair won't lie flat. so lucky I didn't have to explain that in Japanese.
And another stroke of luck, I managed to get all 1000 names cards fixed in the space of the morning today (for an explanation about what this is, see yesterday's post). So that worked out nicely because it means that, even though I won't be at the company open day this weekend I still contributed in someway. By the way it turns out there is a company open day for potential candidates this weekend which is why everyone is super busy. I only found out today but at least it explains why my lunches have been getting steadily solitary.
The rest of the day wasn't too bad. I carried on learning about CSS, and am putting it to good use working on a (really crappy and overly simple) english version of the company website. Hopefully I can get a rough draft done that I can post here and that way everyone will know a bit more about what it is I actually do. Or at least what the company does while I try to look busy.
