Well although today can't be called fun, it was at least a good day. I didn't do much of excitement, just some photoshop and illustrator work on an older pc (by older I mean the software was 3 versions out of date and therefore rather complicated to use). And despite asking repeatedly for work, I ended up spending most of the day thumbing through my text books trying to learn something new. Can't say that has happened though yet because, well, there have been so many new things that there literally isn't much room left.
Lunch was good. The sempai in charge of me and a woman I had met before went to the fancy restaurant downstairs where they still have fantastic food. But those two got into a big conversation and it was hard for me to really take part because a) I didn't understand most of what was being said and b) I couldn't follow the bits I could. That has been happening a lot - Japanese people speak really quickly and in the office (especially when two sempai are talking over my head) it is often very difficult not only what they're talking about but also whether I'm a part of the conversation. The result is more than once they will finish talking turn to me and say "ok do that" as if I have the slightest clue what the hell they're talking about. But I don't think this is them being rude, I think they just can't tell I don't know what they're talking about. It means I have to ask a lot of questions later, but it is one of the things that is hard to get the hang of when learning Japanese. I must sound like a broken 60's robot when I talk.
